The new Heavy Putter – weighing 90 percent more than standard putters – showed superior control of distance, velocity and direction over other putter brands in a recent, independent test conducted on the Super SAM Putting Analysis machine at the Hank Haney Ranch in Plano, Texas.
The scientific conclusions, according to Marius Filmalter, noted authority on the motion of the golf swing and developer of Super SAM:
Distance and Speed: The Heavy Putter needs less acceleration to produce the same velocity, so golfers use less dynamic energy, which leads to a smoother pendulum stroke.
Direction: The face angle and alignment of the Heavy Putter’s head remained squarer through impact, and the Heavy Putter creates a more consistent path, so putts stay closer to their intended target lines.
Advantages in distance, speed and direction greatly reduced and eliminated golfers’ “yips” when using the Heavy Putter. |
